At Lucas Narratives, Cathy does what she loves—helping other organizations tell their stories through what she calls her four roots of focus –powerful communications and brand strategy, thought leader placement and stakeholder engagement.
A unique communicator, Cathy was the driving force behind the creation of two university-wide strategic plans that included a complex mapping of stakeholder engagement. Her work has been recognized by the Council of Advancement and Support of Education (CASE), Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) , the Denver Business Journal and the Colorado Women’s Chamber of Commerce.
In her spare time, when she’s not hiking, stand-up paddle boarding or traveling with her two boys and husband, she’s involved in the community through board leadership and volunteer service. Cathy is the current president of the Denver Public Library Commission. She also serves on the boards for the Colorado International Women’s Forum and Spawn Ideas, an advertising agency based in Anchorage, Alaska. In addition she is a member of the marketing committee for Colorado’s Inclusive Economy.
Cathy is a proud University of Northern Colorado Bear where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism. She is an Accredited Public Relations (APR) professional. Prior to founding Lucas Narratives, Cathy served as the Vice President of Strategy and External Affairs at Metropolitan State University of Denver.
